Why is your fresh asparagus sooo good?

We’ve been growing fresh asparagus in SW Montana for over a decade, and folks keep asking us the same thing:

Why is your fresh asparagus sooo good?

The short answer is that we grow everything at Covenant Gardens using regenerative agriculture, and DO NOT use synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.

Our focus is vibrant soil health, biodiversity, and sustainability, and the fantastic taste of our fresh asparagus is simply a byproduct of those principles. You can genuinely taste the difference in everything we grow because soil health and biological wholeness are our top priorities.

Purple Passion Asparagus Plants

We are now growing Purple Passion asparagus plants from seed harvested directly from our legacy crop. It’s an easy way to start your own asparagus patch and enjoy fresh asparagus every spring.

These plants will be ready to be planted in your garden and begin establishing themselves. Let them grow for two full seasons. Take a light cutting in the third year, and after that, you can enjoy a complete harvest each spring once they’ve reached full maturity.

Once established, Purple Passion asparagus will produce a reliable crop every year with only basic care.

Look for our Purple Passion asparagus plants at all of our 2025 plant markets. For more details, visit our Garden Plants page.
